More about the artist

Marc Kohlmann is an artist based in Burghaun, Germany (nearby Fulda / Frankfurt).

In 2018, he fully shifted his focus to contemporary painting, which had always been his interest.

Marc's artwork is guided by his emotions and feelings.
Art is emotion. Art should awaken emotions. Not only for the viewer, but also for the artist - emotions add something special to an artwork.

For Marc, painting gives him a moment of inner peace, inner satisfaction. In these moments only his artwork counts, the world stands still. Painting is happiness - happiness that unfortunately so many people can't experience and feel anymore.

But not only happy moments arise from painting. In the same way, Marc goes through phases that are characterized by anger and unhappiness - times when everything seems to be too much and it's hard to cope with the world. The lines in his artwork become harder and strokes brisker. This is also part of his work and the daily struggles of life are reflected in it. Even if life is not always easy, one should always see the beauty in it. This is Marc's strong message reflected in his artwork.
